Tucked away in a quiet area of the retreat grounds, you may wish to seek some personal coaching from Rick, the founder of the Centre, who will gently guide you to who you want to really Be, what you want to Do in your life and what it is you wish to Have.

We are the creator of our lives – full stop. Sometimes, we just need a little steering in the right direction to keep us on track.

Just like you, most of us dream about the life that we would like to have.

Sometimes we make progress in pursuing our dream. Often times we do not. Usually the dream stays a dream because we don’t know how to turn it into reality. If it were easy to change the things that prevent us from moving forward, we’d all do it tomorrow, wouldn’t we?

“If only something were different”, we say. “Someday, it will change”, we think. If only we had more time! So we live our lives, dream our dreams, and ask deep inside: Where is our answer?

Sometimes we don’t know quite what we want. We may have a feeling that something is missing. We might even ask why we are here?

How do we find out what is missing? How do we discover our purpose? It all seems so unclear. So we live our lives sensing that something is missing, as the days, months and years go by. We wait for a miracle and ask: Where is our answer?

The answer lies in one place and one place only: YOU

You are the only expert who can determine what is absolutely best for you.

You are the only expert who can create effective ways for you to manifest what is best in your life.

Yet life is so busy and demanding that it is easy to get caught up in the urgency and noise of it all. Without support, without community, without others who deeply care, the discovery and implementation of your truth can seem to be more than you can handle.

That’s where Life Coaching comes in.

Life Coaching is a powerful form of personal development where you and your coach create an alliance that promotes and sustains your personal growth and competence. Life Coaching helps you to set clear goals and establish ways to achieve them more quickly than you would on your own.

Coaches don’t give answers or advice. Coaches help empower you to find your truth and power within. A coach’s skill is in knowing the right questions to ask and having the right tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself and thereby make choices that create an effective, balanced and fulfilling life.

A coach doesn’t feed you. A coach helps you to learn how to fish for yourself.

 

Rick is an experienced in counseling, lecturing and problem solving; is understanding by nature and a compassionate guide. He brings his wealth of experience to Bali in order to help and guide those who seek more than the mundane from their lives.

 

The pursuit of happiness is the goal of many, but few seem to achieve any lasting results; Rick will gently guide you through those areas of your life that stand in the way of your personal happiness.

Life Series Discussions

The Life Series Discussions have been culled from an array of ancient and New Spirituality wisdom. Imparted from reading and life experience, they will assist you to shape your own unique perspective on who you are and who you wish to become.

Pranic Breathing

Pranic breathing brings about the assimilation of Life Force (sometimes called Chi, Prana or Universal Energy) throughout the body and its energy centres known as chakras.

It is an ideal process to compliment your personal evolution and often results in a feeling of well-being, boosted energy and calmness. Sometimes one can feel a little giddy or hyperventilated, so it is best when new to this, to be guided on the correct method of breathing.

Wellness is often linked to energy and pranic breathing has been known to increase the level of vital healing energy, strengthen the immune system and provide relief for the body’s dis-ease.

At the Centre, we provide guidance for your practice of pranic breathing using the following steps:

~ You may sit comfortably or stand and preferably wearing loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, become calm and relaxed

~ Breath in slowly into your stomach extending your stomach until it protrudes. Remember, you are not breathing into your chest. Your diaphragm will move downwards as you breathe in – be aware and in present time as you do this. Count slowly to six as you inhale to full capacity without causing discomfort

~ Hold your breath for the slow count of three

~ Exhale slowly using your stomach muscles to push the air out. Draw your stomach in as you do this. Count to six as you slowly exhale

~ When your lungs are completely empty, hold for the slow count of three

~ Repeat the cycle many times

~ You may wish to visualise pure creative, healing energy flooding your entire body, nurturing and energising every muscle, sinew, tissues, blood, etc

~ When you are complete, take a few minutes with your eyes still closed to scan your body. Be aware of any changes, sensations, or feelings you may have.

~ Give thanks for this opportunity to drink in the stuff of life. Be grateful and accepting for who and what you are.

~ Open your eyes and take with you into your day-to-day activities, the calmness, energy and sense of well-being you have created.

Meditation

Meditation is an essential process to uncovering that which lies within. In fact it has been said that if you do not go within, you go without! There are many forms of meditation, many ways of addressing and practicing meditation and all lead to the basic purpose of doing such an exercise – to allow what is inherently the core of our being to come forth.

By quieting the mental chatter from the ego/mind, the real essence of who we are becomes apparent and from this, all that we wish to deliberately create can occur. Notice I said “deliberately”, for we are creating the life we experience all the time, however, some of it may be the result of unconscious creation. Meditation and its effects can help us to make more and more conscious decisions regarding what we wish to experience. We no longer need to feel victimised by life when we are making conscious decisions.

Meditation leads us to the present moment – the Here and Now. So often in our busy lives full of distractions, such as watching to much TV, running the kids to school, appointments, shopping, etc., we are thinking about the future or dwelling on the past. Too much of this takes us away from the present moment, away from the conscious decision making Now, away from a calm and peaceful mind, away from clarity and away from our real essence.

You won’t be asked to shave your head, don a saffron robe and sit in a mountain cave (although that may not be such a bad idea!), instead the meditation bale (pronounced bar-lay), set amongst the rich tropical gardens filled with birdsong and a babbling brook meandering nearby, provides a natural setting to find you’re your real Self.

At the Centre we will lead you through guided and silent meditations, which may be sitting, standing or walking.

Basic Yoga

Yoga originated in India and has a five thousand year history. Spiritual seekers have practiced yoga as a means of balancing one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. By creating a flexible body, which permits a free flow of energy (Chi, Prana); you can become more in tune with each facet that makes up a human being – body, mind and soul.

At the Centre, we teach that wonderful set of motions entitled the Sun Salutation or Salute to the Sun. More advanced yoga can be arranged or we can direct you to some very proficient teachers in nearby Ubud. On retreats, we start the day off with Pranic breathing and the Sun Salutation, which is guaranteed to bring life into tired or jet-lagged bodies.

The meditation bale is an ideal spot for yoga and you will find other equally appealing places around the Centre grounds.

We provide yoga mats, but if you have a favorite that you want to bring along feel free to do so. What could be more inspiring than to blend the natural sounds of the garden with music created for yoga and peaceful meditation?
